Author Info : French doomer Description : Introducing "Speed of Moon", a 5 map mapset (+ an epilogue) by yours trully. This is a mapset I started at the beninging of August after a fairly long break from mapping. I wanted to make something short and easy going and well, it turned into this. The map that took the longest to make was map 2 actually. This mapset features a very lunar theme (yet again reminescent of valiant's E5) and the gameplay is fairly easy although, some fights are pretty tough i guess. There are no difficulty settings yet and the automap cleanup isn't finalised (it should be fine) but, everything else is pretty much set. The mapset includes 2 "new" monsters + some reskins thanks to decohack and doomtools (and mbf21). Have fun ! Inspiration : Valiant and ancient aliens to some extent =========================================================================== * Credits * Music credits: Map 01 - "Space Jiggle" by Stewboy Map 02 - "Valiant" by AD_79 Map 03 - "Honor in sacrifice" by LVENDead Map 04 - "The dorito caves" by Korp Map 05 - "Fall of the Kingdom" by Stewboy Map 06 - "Mystproj" by Esselfortium (btsx, episode 2 hub midi) Textures: Valiant's E5 textures + some edit by me (basically used motm's resource as a base) Sock's egypt textures Ancient aliens for the inca/aztek and various temple textures and ice/snow stuff Special thanks to @Fuzzball for the sexy moon texture edits (the 256 tall versions) :D Sprites: Cybruiser: Amuscaria Chaingunner with helmet: HorrorMovieGuy, Touhou Hisouten-Scarlet Weather Rhapsody for the spriteset used (uber chaingunner from realm667) Shotgunner: Mark Quinn, Vegeta, Xim, Ghastly_dragon, MagicWazard for the spriteset used (from the zspec pack from realm667) Former human: NMN, Tormentor667 for the spriteset used (Rapid fire trooper from realm667) Pinky: Original spriteset edit by Neoworm, Vader edit for this wad by yours trully (the reconditus edit) Suicide Bomber: Mark Quinn, Anthony Cole Base spirte by idsoftware GFX: Titlepic background graphic: marenoctis Titlefont: From the doom text generator (wolfendoom i think) CWLVS: valiant font Statbar: edited version of the valiant stat bar =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 5 + One epilogue map (so 6 i guess) Sounds : Yes Music : Yes Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : Yes Demos : No Other : Other files required : None, everything is included =========================================================================== * Play Information * Game : Doom 2 Map # : Map 01 through 06 (there is no exit on map 6 as it is an epilogue map) Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : Player starts only, not really tested Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : Yes Additional info : All maps have been tested with pistol start. =========================================================================== * Construction * Base : From Scratch Build Time : 2 months (on and off) Editor(s) used : Ultimate Doom Builder, Slade 3, Gimp Known Bugs : I have not seen any gamebreaking bugs and, none were reported by my testers for this version.
