=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : Boom-compatible (complevel 9) Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : The Enchanted Forest Filename : forest.wad Release date : 21 May 2024 (first version on iddqd.ru), 17 Sept 2024 (DoomWorld thread) Author : Michael63 (Mikhail Romashka) Email Address : [redacted] Other Files By Author : abon.wad Description : This map was inspired by The Enchanted Forest in Frozen 2 (2019 Disney fantasy film), and the known grove.wad by B.P.R.D. The map was initially made for Russian Doom Community Project (RDCP 2024), but the project was stopped; so, this is a single map. This is my first attempt to make a forest-like location in Doom, and I only partially achieved my goal because the forest turned out to be a bit sparse. The map is basically a large open space, and I'm afraid that increasing the number of trees in it will slow down the game on not very modern computers. So let everything remain as it is at this map. It seems to me quite beautiful and original, and I hope that you will like it too.
