=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : Update to : DarkWeb.wad Advanced engine needed : Boom-compatible Primary purpose : Single Player =========================================================================== Title : Dark Web Filename : DarkWeb.wad Release date : 5/11/23 Author : Powerlord Email Address : [redacted] Other Files By Author : None yet Misc. Author Info : Bruh gamer gaming Description : After a brief stint of amateur efforts in 2016, I reintegrated in doom builder and, with the help of the community, put together this quick moody map in a week. Just a rather modest map to get back into the groove with a focus on things I struggled with in the past (large open areas, chaotic combat, lack of lighting, bloated maps.) I'm quite happy with the result, and I hope you enjoy the brisk run through this broken down MAP 02-type base. FYI, the name dark web comes from the main structure in the final room, which is the first sector I drew on the floor plan! Updated to fix some HOMs, add a secret, and slightly increase the light level (begrudgingly) Additional Credits to : Wallabra for the track "Vindication" from their GusMus modern doom 2 music replacement pack. (https://www.doomworld.com/vb/thread/100433) Mtpain27 for the Dean of Doom series finally getting me to brush off the editor again. Jimmy paddock, DavidxNewton, and the doom community at large for eagerly helping and assisting anybody and everybody get into Doom. ID, as always. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 1 Sounds : No Music : Yes Graphics : No Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : None * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 Map # : MAP 01 Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : No Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : Yes * Construction * Base : New from scratch Build Time : About a week Editor(s) used : Ultimate Doom Builder, Slade 3 Known Bugs : Some HOMs seemed to randomly happen in prboom, I believe I fixed them but due to their random nature there's a small chance they'll show up in software renderers.
