I have received permission from the original authors of any modified or included content in this file to allow further distribution. * Where to get the file that this text file describes * The Usual: ftp://archives.gamers.org/pub/idgames/ and mirrors Web sites: FTP sites: 555 was made as a challenge to self, inspired by lunchlunch's 10x10 (and before I knew about 1x1!). The rules were to only use five flats and walls, as well as some other utilitarian textures. The maps use flats on walls and walls on floors, so won't display correctly in all engines (sorry!). Each map has a seperate theme: "The House in the Lake of Blood" is based on blood, brown mud, wood and metal. "The Forest in the Abyss" is all about mud, grass, hedges, bricks and trees. "The Fortress in the Lava Cave" features rock, lava, red hot bricks and green slime and green torches. "In the Depths of the Moon" is a lunar techbase - mostly monochrome except for a mysterious red substance. "Sanctuary of the Iron God" has a marble and metal theme, with more blood added for contrast. These levels are fairly challenging, but all should be UV maxable with some luck+effort. Play on HMP if it gets too hairy! The music tracks are made on Renoise, a tracker, and are in .ogg format.
