=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : Limit-Removing Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : Pale Horse Filename : PaleHorse Release date : 04.05.2025 Author : Community Project led by ViolentBeetle Email Address : [redacted] Description : Pale Horse is a community project built around using textures that are mostly rendered in grayscale. The maps are split in 3 episodes, with a certain theme and weapon restriction, with maps ordered in a way to ensure something like a difficulty curve. Episodes 2 and 3 contain 1 secret level each. Maps designed for single player with compatibility level 2. COMPLVL lump is included for ports that support it. The wad is using UMAPINFO for episodes, skies and map names, so you will need a port that supports that. The graphics were adjusted for Software renderer. Trying to play in different mode might make it look weird or just burn your eyes. Additional Credits to : The maps were contributed by multiple authors. They can be found in included credits.txt file or in CREDITS lump inside the wad, along with MIDI and custom sky graphic credits. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 28 Sounds : Yes Music : Yes Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : Yes Other : No Other files required : None * Play Information * Game : Doom 2 Map # : 1-26, 31, 32 Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : Player starts only Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : Yes * Construction * Base : New from scratch Build Time : 4 months Editor(s) used : UDB, SLADE3 Known Bugs : MAP02 had a place prone to all-ghost bug, but it should be solved now.
